Exciting day. I finally invested in a 3D printer! It took awhile to figure out which one to go with. I was enamored with the idea of a resin 3D printer. However, because I plan to use it for both cosplay AND DnD minis, the PLA printer is the better option. :3 So my plans for now are going to be to run some test prints. Print out one of my Hero Forge minis and 3D print Lotor's sword. The foam one is good but it has pushed me to the limit of my skill and I'm more interested in leather working right now. I'm half-way through my leather working course too! So yeah, that's about it. Happy Ash Wednesday!

When living as long as you do off blood, why wouldn't you come up with more creative ways of consuming? This tutorial will demonstrate what to change in your custom food to make it fit for vampires and make humans sick. Pre-Requisites: You need to have the Add-On Vampires for Sims 4 Sims4 Studio Basic Knowledge of Object tuning How to clone and make a custom food item. (I like using the Foodchemistry one) (optional) Custom Buffs You can complete this step once you have all your servings set up. On the single serving, you will want to edit the Object Tuning of your food item. You want to find the line < u n="_components" > that comes after any utensil blocks. Projects that I'm currently working on at the moment. Baby Blanket Crochet - I have crocheted about 13 cm of a 100 cm blanket. ;_; Leather Lessons - I'm up to module 5, but I still need to do the homework for 4. Planning on doing that this weekend. MAX - Doing the art exchange this month. I should be able to make it this weekend and do my homework. Lotara Cosplay - Collecting phase. I'm being patient, but I've gotten ears and body paint and earrings at the moment. 3D Printing - I'm very close to my savings goal for a Resin 3D printer. Looking forward to making minis and costume parts. Sculpting - haven't started my lessons on Udemy yet. Art Doll Goro - the armature stares at me all the time. :P BJD course - about 50% done but I think I need to restart. Ugh...what a year it has been. Sorry to leave this dormant for so long. :/ So quick recap: I got a new job! I finished my Princess Costume for Halloween: My cat of 9 years Lucius passed away the day I finished this costume. :(  I adopted a new cat a week later, Sebastien!  *smoulder* He had a bunch of health and anxiety issues and pretty sure he has asthma. Which is distressing because that cough is the sound Lucius made before I took him to the emergency vet.  I've not been able to post to YouTube since. It's just not the right time.  After watching the final season of Voltron, decided to abandon my Pidge cosplay...because I grew to hate the main cast.   Anyboo, instead I'm cosplaying Lotor from the same series. Speaking of Lotor...finally used my embroidery machine to make a Lotor Pony Plush. Yay. Oh...and crochet has taken over my life recently. Made a baby blanket, some stuffed animals, working on my Visual Novel sloooowly....

Work has been all consuming of my time and a drain on my creativity. I still get bursts of creative energy from time to time. Ho...haven't updated in awhile. So updates. I noticed I haven't made any progress on Voltron. I think I actually got the wrong size pattern for the pants. >_> Dees hips are no longer a "misses" size. Also I've been lax on my diet. I'm back up to 150 lbs. and I haven't been doing my exercises. So I'm not tabling it yet, but I may be more of  a "Pudge" than a "Pidge". LOL! Also, I've got another project going on. I'm making a full-length ball room dress and my own rhinestone jewelry. It's been fun so far. I also plan on rhinestoning shoes. I'm terrible at being regular about this. Probably because I write all day and get kind of burnt out on it. But I'll give some updates. One because Halloween is just around the corner, I've been working on a costume. I made a cute lolita-inspired dress so I can be a broken doll. (I'll post pics later.) My mom also got me a used serger that she got for making a baby outfit for someone. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but...I also have to remember how they work. :/ Pidge Cosplay I got the fabric and the legging pattern may be a bit too small. I'm praying that the spandex compensates. Although...we all may live to regret that. LOL. Apartment Complex I've been working on re-organizing my apartment so I have more room to work in and can have people come over. Still trying to figure out a system for my project storage. So I took a Staycation the first week of this month and used it to buy a new car and work on some projects. I did gain some weight back but I'm already down again and heading toward the next goal: 140 lbs or less. (As of today I'm 144!) Loss of Weight When I started the weight loss program I was 157 lbs and creeping ever closer to an unhealthy 160. My first goal was to get down to 150 lbs. It took about 6 weeks of dieting and hardly any exercise to do that. Once I reached that I wanted to go for another 5 lbs. It took another 5 - 6 weeks but I did get down to 145 for a total loss of 12 lbs in about 12 weeks. Which is what I wanted. Losing about 1 lb a week.  At one point I did start doing some arm toning exercises, but I fell off the bandwagon because my weights were too heavy and I hurt myself. One of these days I'll go get 3 lb weights and ease back into the 5 lbs.  The weight loss was a personal goal but also prompted by a desire to get back into cosplay ...

Exciting day. I've lost 12 lbs of weight and I have noticed that I'm slimming down. I'm working on toning my arms now but I feel like I'm in a good place. I'm going to continue striving to get my weight down but spandex IS on sale this weekend, so before the 5th I intend to re-measure myself and figure out how much fabric I need for the Jumpsuit...which will be stirrup pants and a turtle neck. The only "hurdles" right now are a) I'm also trying to buy a car this week so I expect to be emotionally drained. b) My laptop battery isn't charging so I'm waiting on a new charger. (2nd one for this particular laptop.) And c) Steam Summer Sale. FML. I expect to be gaming a lot. AND sewing plushies. I finished the body for Loyal defender and wings and redid the head. I actually am at the point where I need to sew the head to the body. ...Oh and sew the ears and horn on too. Then make a mane pattern. Then I'll have my big pony plush pillow. ^^ A...

Happy All Saints Day! 10 days before my 31st birthday. I'm finally old enough to drink ten years later. No progress on costumes or crafts really. Except I got more supplies. I'm in the stock pile stage of stuffing animals. Joann's had a sale on fluffy plush which I'm going to use for stuffed animals. I also ordered some proper minky for ponies. The fluffy plush would work but minky has much shorter pile length than the fluff I'm currently using. I'm also learning how to hand embroider. It's a slow process so...it goes well. However, there is much to update about digital art. I updated 7 Eldest after several months of hiatus. I've also been drawing characters for a tabletop game I'm part of. So San Diego Comic Con is going on. And a Tali cosplay appeared on my facebook feed. :) It was fun to see especially since it was a ME 3 version. I think I'm unique in doing ME 1 version. But I'm distracted. I haven't done costume stuff for a couple of days now. >_> I started playing Dragon Age Origins again. /sigh/ I keep glaring at the Warden Armors. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BELTS?? GAwww. Anyway, I'm both distracted and inspired. Perhaps it's time to feed the muse instead of work out. But I'm sure the beads I ordered will be coming in soon. And I'll be moved to work on something.

How I feel that my costumes are going to turn out sometimes... Well...because I've had some...major fails. Usually in an effort to remain on budget I cut out a lot of quality.  But we learn from mistakes so here's my little walk of shame of costumes and cosplay that really didn't come out as planned.  Princess Kraehe  My first "real" honest attempt at a cosplay was this character: Kraehe from Princess Tutu . At the time I was planning on going to AnimeFest in Dallas almost last minute with some friends. My game company was called Corvidology or "Study of Crows"...so I thought Kraehe would be super appropriate. Plus I knew I could pull it off. Well...here are the results. Well...I DID try. And for a budget costume it wasn't super bad...but most pictures of me were ummm unflattering. Some things I learned:  Black Ballet shoes do NOT exist. I had to dye them. I used Rit Dye and they're still black. (yeah I still have them.) Bu...

Oh 2012, what new exciting things can I hope for in this year. Here's what's going down now. 1) Corvidology is working on a fashion app. 2) I'm still chipping away at my VN Line of Heroes. With only minor updates since the last one. 3) I'm also working on a few Dating Sims. I've finished scripting one. I'm so proud of me for figuring it out. 4) 7 Eldest is in book 2. I still don't give it all the love and attention it deserves. 5) Also kind of looking for a new job. ^^

Controversy and gaming can almost be synonymous. Reasons why or subject matters will offend differ between parties. However, most of this thought bubble was actually inspired by an anime series I started watching and feel confused about my feelings towards it. I feel like I have accepted the 'offense' no longer or never really offended me. Rooms with Elephants The series that sparked these thought bubbles is called " Hetalia: Axis Powers " which is an anime series where the episodes are 5 minutes of loose history about the relations of countries during WW2 and other points in history. All countries are 'personified' as characters with certain stereotypical traits. While the stereotypes are funny generalizations, they are generalizations made by a Japanese perspective. I've only gotten through season 2 but I keep waiting for that 'elephant in the room' to be acknowledged. The Axis powers did some pretty terrible things. Also America did something te...

Recently, I've discovered fun Let's Play videos of people playing some of their favorite old games and giving commentary. Much mirth is to be found in these. I might try my own hand at a few. So far here are some of my favorites: Paw from That Guy with the Glasses Let's Play Quickly: Kikoskia Wow that's really not a lot. I'll add to this list as I discover more. In anycase, while I love watching game reviews that play snippets, I really love these because I can experience the game without playing. It's especially helpful when I'm at work because I can not play games at work (I just make them. :P). Sometimes they play obscure titles I know I won't ever have access to. Enjoy!

Jus t a light hearted thought bubble for now. I was just browsing some game blogs and saw something mentioning World of Warcraft. And I was just thinking back to this time last year when I was actively playing. I want to go back to it. But I have one problem... ...actually there's more than one problem...it's more like 20... I have too many unplayed games! Somehow I managed to buy a ton of games this year thanks to peer pressure (in a sense) and actual titles that interested me and nostalgia. OMG did nostalgia bite in the bum this year. I BOUGHT Oregon Trail 4 and was this close to buying Super Solvers Treasure Trove. On top of that I now have co-workers who want to play MMOs with me and I just don't have the time thanks to hobbies. Plus I have a long list of games that I still need to finish.
