Projects that I'm currently working on at the moment. Baby Blanket Crochet - I have crocheted about 13 cm of a 100 cm blanket. ;_; Leather Lessons - I'm up to module 5, but I still need to do the homework for 4. Planning on doing that this weekend. MAX - Doing the art exchange this month. I should be able to make it this weekend and do my homework. Lotara Cosplay - Collecting phase. I'm being patient, but I've gotten ears and body paint and earrings at the moment. 3D Printing - I'm very close to my savings goal for a Resin 3D printer. Looking forward to making minis and costume parts. Sculpting - haven't started my lessons on Udemy yet. Art Doll Goro - the armature stares at me all the time. :P BJD course - about 50% done but I think I need to restart. I some of the supplies for it, but it has intrigued me about porcelain casting, but no info yet. VN Project - I've written up to chapter 5 for both the final routes. (Goro and Katsuro). I...

So late last night, I started playing with clay. I didn't really think I'd actually try it but I got my cabochons and wanted see what I could do. An hour or two later I had this: I did some corrections after this picture was take so the eyes didn't look so uneven. But I baked it up last night and hey...I have a cat head! My debate right now is whether I should make the ears out of clay or from fabric. I feel comfortable with either option. I might start with clay and see how that goes. :) Then I'll paint. 

So this is apart from the costume for now because it's getting intense in the planning dept. wot. I have pretty much everything I need to make the cat puppet except for led lights and cabochons for the eyes. So I can't work on the face yet but here's the supply list for Kova the cat puppet. So I took a Staycation the first week of this month and used it to buy a new car and work on some projects. I did gain some weight back but I'm already down again and heading toward the next goal: 140 lbs or less. (As of today I'm 144!) Loss of Weight When I started the weight loss program I was 157 lbs and creeping ever closer to an unhealthy 160. My first goal was to get down to 150 lbs. It took about 6 weeks of dieting and hardly any exercise to do that. Once I reached that I wanted to go for another 5 lbs. It took another 5 - 6 weeks but I did get down to 145 for a total loss of 12 lbs in about 12 weeks. Which is what I wanted. Losing about 1 lb a week.  At one point I did start doing some arm toning exercises, but I fell off the bandwagon because my weights were too heavy and I hurt myself. One of these days I'll go get 3 lb weights and ease back into the 5 lbs.  The weight loss was a personal goal but also prompted by a desire to get back into cosplay ...

Exciting day. I've lost 12 lbs of weight and I have noticed that I'm slimming down. I'm working on toning my arms now but I feel like I'm in a good place. I'm going to continue striving to get my weight down but spandex IS on sale this weekend, so before the 5th I intend to re-measure myself and figure out how much fabric I need for the Jumpsuit...which will be stirrup pants and a turtle neck. The only "hurdles" right now are a) I'm also trying to buy a car this week so I expect to be emotionally drained. b) My laptop battery isn't charging so I'm waiting on a new charger. (2nd one for this particular laptop.) And c) Steam Summer Sale. FML. I expect to be gaming a lot. AND sewing plushies. I finished the body for Loyal defender and wings and redid the head. I actually am at the point where I need to sew the head to the body. ...Oh and sew the ears and horn on too. Then make a mane pattern. Then I'll have my big pony plush pillow. ^^ A...

I'm the worst at updating. But summer's coming and for some reason that seems to be getting me into my creative groove again. So I think it's almost been a year but I'm still working on my Pony OC plushies. I'm happy to say that I've finished the first "body" of a pony. She still needs a mane and tail, but here's Willow Wisp. The wings are velcroed on so I can interchange them with open wings. The eyes and cutie marks were hand embroidered. ...Yeah...I have to find a better way to do that.  And luckily  I think I have. I found a video that suggested printing on felt which is something I may try. (I did an experiment on batting and it worked decently well.) Which will help speed up the process on other ponies. Seriously, hand embroidering make-up eyes...So much work.  I've taken apart my old Rough Edges pony and recut him in proper minky. He's the other one I had nearly finished but now I have to start over with. :P  ...

I've got quite a bit of work done on these. First is Rough Edges: This is the first thing I put together with the pattern. The body turned out okay, the head, I made too big. I used a different head pattern than the one included with the body pattern. I think i may nee to take the head apart and do it again. It's still oddly shaped and I screwed up the ears. I've now corrected the pattern for the other stallion heads I have planned.  Next Willow Wisp I'm actually a little farther along than this picture suggests. The cutie marks and one eye is sewn down onto the pattern. We'll see how the sewing on this one goes soon. I just have one more eye to sew down. I've been procrastinating on that. 

Hello again blog. I'm here again. The sewing table is working out like a dream. It's a great place for snacks AND sewing. :) My current project is going to take me the rest of summer I feel like. (Steam's summer sale has NOT helped with this.) I'm working on plush versions of all my current My Little Pony Original Characters. Which are mostly based on pre-existing characters of mine that I've ponified. Some are new though.  I don't have a machine to do my embroidering. I can't justify the cost of an embroidering machine at this time either. ( I will probably hire someone eventually. ) So for now doing everything by hand.That's the part that's taking five-ever. And I have so many ponies!
